The Denver Metro death cafe will be meeting online the third Sunday of each month. Please know this will be a closed safe space where you concerns and fears are always welcome. This event will be hosted by the wonderful Nancy English, host of the oldest death cafe in Denver, previously at the Tattered Cover Bookstore. Workshop Series
Answer Death Series
Offered in person & via Zoom
In this four week class we go through all the documents one would need to be prepared for the end of their life. From a medical health advocate to a living will.. there are so many forms worth exploring. We will also cover legacy work, vigil planning, plus have burial and funeral discussions. This series includes a couple of expert guests to get all your questions answered! Maximum of six participants.
Four weeks, 2 hour classes, $200
Question Life Series
Offered in person & via Zoom
In this four week class we take a slow look at where you come from, where you are, and where you would like to be. It’s so easy for us to go through the motions, happy or not, without questioning what it is we truly want from life. Without questioning how we got here or how differently life is than we thought it would be. This class is a great opportunity to create a beautiful shift in your life. Maximum of six participants.

Caregiver Series
Offered in person & via Zoom
This series is all about how can we support the support team of someone who is dying. From how do we have the conversation of quality verse quantity to wondering if Medicaid covers hospice care. We will teach you tools to align the team and discuss communication skills. We will also provide simple resources that you can use to ease the transition for your loved one, both physically and mentally. This series will help you feel more prepared to wholly and confidently care for someone as they die. Maximum of twelve participants.

The Last Transition

The Last Transition is centered around the idea that if we take the time to actually plan the last two weeks of our life, we can relieve fear around a life event people often struggle with. This is not only for you but also serves your family in allowing them to meet your final wishes. This class is also known as vigil planning. Maximum of six participants.

Legacy Work
Offered in person & via Zoom
Legacy work can be one of the most important parts of preparing for a healthy transition. This is the emotional groundwork that is so vital in remembering the value of our lives. Why are you here? What parts of your life gave you the most value? How do you want to be remembered when you are gone? Creating your legacy work can be incredibly healing for you and your family.
Two hour class, $50
Life Cycle Reflection
Offered in person & via Zoom
Who are you? Where did you come from and how are the patterns that we learned as children still present in our adult lives? With the help of a couple of simple exercises we hope to isolate trauma and work with removing blocks from our life. We’ll also recognize what parts of our current life are serving us and which parts we may want to shed. Maximum of six participants.

Importance of Ritual

Ritual is an ancient practice humans use to process transition both mentally and emotionally. In modern times we commonly practice rituals such as weddings or funerals but it is the unrecognized transitions that we really need to acknowledge. Ritual helps us to honor the change, connect us to each other and our ancestors, and most importantly empower us within our community to be open to deep and lasting connections. We will discuss the elements and why they are vital to who we are. You will come away from this class with so much heartfelt information and the ability to hold your own ritual when needed. Maximum of six participants.

Caregiver 101
Offered in person & via Zoom
We know what a tall task in can be to take on the care of another human. We are here to offer ideas, resources, and conversations on all the different avenues of support. This can be anything from respite care to how to align the support person team for effectiveness. The littlest things can make the biggest difference if we are willing to be guided. This three hour class can provide significant insight for both patient and family. Maximum of six participants.

1:1 Mentoring Online
Where do you stand with death? Do your concerns over what the end of your life will look like ever have you more worried than you would like to admit? Do you have someone you feel comfortable having end of life conversations with? Have you considered what your ideal death would be? Have you thought about what your obituary may say? There’s really so much. I’m here to help you with questions and conversations that you may not be quite ready to have with your family. It’s really amazing how much of our fear can be alleviated if we can just speak it out loud.
We accept payment via check or Venmo. Please note that the prices above are appreciated but not required. We will never deny any one, for any reason, access to knowledge on the end of life.
