Waking Root

We are all dying. Every second, of every day…

In fact, you are dying right now as you are reading this. But the question is… how does that change your relationship with life? Does knowing you’re dying make you live differently? It is this insight that is the key to freedom for many.

Freedom from fear of the transformation we all go through at the end of our lives.

Freedom from our fear of death.

Recognizing the cyclical nature of life can help that us view death as a transformation, not as an ending. Adhering to the universal rhythm, human activity occurs in cycles.

Work, play, sleep, repeat.

Morning, noon, night, repeat.

Birth, life, death, repeat.

Menstrual cycles, moon cycles, life cycles.

What drives these cycles is a continual, evolving energy.

Energy does not die, energy transforms.

Think of our soul as the energy of a river. See in your mind how that river is constantly changing. Evolving, twisting, turning, sometimes quiet and small… other times roaring and strong. We have no idea what is waiting around each bend yet the current will only allow us to move forward. Eventually the river reaches the ocean, evaporates and is reborn as snow or rain, making it back to the river for yet another cycle.

In this cycle the energy of the river never dies, it only transforms from one state to another.

Waking Root is about the connection back to where we came from, who we are, and where we want to be in the future… reflecting on our life cycle as a whole to be clear if we’re really where we want to be today.
